Digital Voice files: Our services work with all formats of digital voice files such as MP3, DSS, Quicktime, WAV etc.
Computer: The minimum configuration for your PC
• Microsoft Windows* 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP, Intel
• ** Pentium II 300 Mhz MMX or higher,
• HDD 70MB or more,
• Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 or 100% compatible sound card,
• USB port,
• Microsoft IE 5.0 or later.
Client registration is done by the Escribe administration. Part of the setting up includes assigning an 8-character client code, which is communicated, to the client. Escribe Admin also sets up the first user. Again both the user name and password are sent to the client, allowing him to login to the Escribe platform.

Steps in User Support

Client registration
Done by Escribe Administration and communicated back to client for him to login to the Escribe platform.
Set up Users
The first user is always set up by Escribe Administration. User name and password are communicated to client so that he can use the Escribe platform.
Assign Administration responsibilities
A nominated person(s) within the organisation is set up with user administration profile. He, in turn, can set up additional users, delete users or change passwords.
Set up Templates
The user administrator can set up any number of templates ie. the reference document to be used by the transcribers for formatting similar kind of output. As part of the set up, the following information are required:
Uploading a file
A 3 step process comprising of:
• Transfer voice file from Dictaphone to computer or network drive. Detailed instructions    provided with the digital Dictaphone user manual.
• Upload the voice file using [Browse] function.
• Submit details. The system generates a unique numeric file reference number which will be    referred through the rest of the processing.
Tracking progress
Clients can view progress of their work through its entire life cycle of
New - new voice file has been submitted for transcription.
Processing - file received by transcribers and transcription has commenced.
QA (Quality Assurance) - transcription completed, undergoing QA check.
Ready - commence download if selected option for output delivery is from the website
Completed - Output files have either been downloaded or sent as email attachment.
Receipt of output
2 options available
Email -The output file will be sent to the user (along with CC if set up).
Website - Output will be available for download to the local PC.
Alternate methods (non-voice files) of submitting work
Uploading scanned files. The procedure is the same.
